● We run for the Public and for Groups (team-building, birthdays (13th, 21st to 70th), staff, clients, bachelor/ettes, anniversaries, clubs, year end parties, etc.).
●
Due
to this unique production, and it only being held about twice a year
for the Public, people travel from afar, and tickets sell out
quickly.
● You can come on your own, although many people book in groups (usually 4 - 12 people).
● Ages: This is more of an adult production, but ages 6 & up are welcome.
● Bring Torch / Camera (or use your cell phone for both).
ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
So
many people have wanted to sleep over in a haunted building. Now's your
chance!
Bring
your own packed food, or you can braai/BBQ (we supply the fire, but
feel free to bring wood if you want to sit around the fire later on).
Bring your own mattress/stretcher & bedding to sleep in the famous Old Gaol (Jail) built in 1888, in Heidelberg (Gauteng).
Arrive from 6pm onwards. Eat, and drink (from the cash/card Bar) from 6pm - 9pm.
You
will
then
be entertained by the inimitable & dramatic creator of the
famous long-running SA's Mystery Ghost Tours, Mark Rose-Christie, in
person, where you will
visit different areas of the jail to hear its
ghost stories, use cellphone ghost-hunting apps (which we shall
give you to download), and experience a thrilling visual effect.
Towards midnight, by candlelight, Mark will tell you about his very own personal experiences with ghosts over the years, as well as what guests have seen on SA's Mystery Ghost Tours - followed by two dramatic radio studio recordings (with haunted music & sound effects) from South Africa's "The Spokeveld".
After the stories, you can roam around the jail again and investigate.
Check Out is 10am the next morning.

DRESS CODE: Dress casually. Bring jackets or jerseys in case of cold weather, and comfortable attire to sleep in.

SUPPER & BREAKFAST / COFFEE & TEA: Bring your own packed supper and something to eat for breakfast (unless you want to go out for breakfast somewhere in town in the morning). If you prefer to braai (BBQ) we provide the fure. Bring plates, cutlery, bowls etc. if necessary. Flasks of tea/coffee are welcome, but bring your own cups/mugs. You can also use the kettle and microwave in the jail's kitchen.
DRINKS:
Alcohol may not
be brought onto the property (which includes in your vehicles). People
found with their own alcohol in their possession (including in their
vehicles or anywhere else on the property) will be asked to leave with
immediate effect. We have a bar, where you will need cash or a card.
DISORDERLY BEHAVIOUR: Whilst we wish everyone to have a fun time, disorderly behaving persons will be asked to leave with immediate effect.
INDEMNITY:
Entry
onto the jail's property and entry into the jail, is at your own risk.
Please also inform your guests about same.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Bring your own mattress & bedding. There are various areas in the jail which accommodate a few people per area. The area in which you sleep is based on a first-come first-served basis. Many people book in groups (usually 4 - 12 people or more).
ELECTRICITY: Many plug points are available.
ABLUTIONS: Toilets are available, but no showers/bath tubs.
