ABOUT THE PRODUCTION:

Due to this unique & popular production, people travel from afar, and especially since it is only held twice a year, with limited tickets.

So many people have wanted to sleep over in a haunted building, hear its stories, do some investigations and see what eerie occurrences occur during the night. Now is your chance!

To your advantage this production comes in at the same price as our Tour 'Jaunts', where such Jaunts require you to bring a picnic basket/cooler bag with snacks. The difference is that you will need to bring more substantial food with you for the sleep-over. To your further advantage, the accommodation is free.

You will spend the night with your own mattress & own bedding in the famous haunted & historical Old Gaol (Jail) built in 1888, in Heidelberg (Gauteng). The production only runs for 20 people, twice a year.

Arrive from 6pm onwards. Eat your own food, and feel free to drink (from the bar), after which your host, Mark Rose-Christie (the inimitable and dramatic creator of the famous long-running SA's Mystery Ghost Tours), will entertain you in person, and take you to different areas of the jail to hear its ghost stories, one of which comprises a thrilling visual effect.

After that you will use cellphone ghost hunting apps (which we shall give you to download), to see what you can capture on the apps. You will also use ordinary cameras/video cameras (or use the camera/video functions on your cellphone).

Just before midnight, you can go to the bar to try our shooter called 'The Boer-War Bullet' and/or order other drinks.

At the dead of midnight, Mark will tell you about his very own personal experiences with ghosts over the years, as well as what guests have seen and heard for themselves on SA's Mystery Ghost Tours - where some photographs will also be shown of authentic ghosts. The various ghost cases are told by candle-light in the hall, and ends with two dramatic radio studio recordings (with haunted music & sound effects) of two famous ghost incidents that occured in "The Spokeveld" (which was actually marked as such on old South African maps).

If you wish, you can sip away at 'spirits' of another sort (bought at the bar) for the telling of the ghost cases and hearing the studio recordings.

After the stories, it is then time for you to be able to roam around the different areas of the jail again and investigate.

By 2am in the wee hours of the morning, people may wish to sleep in their various areas, and thus you won't have access to those areas unless you are going to sleep as well. If you don't wish to sleep, you can go to the courtyard to sit around the fire in the courtyard and/or visit the bar.

You can visit the bar at any time during the evening's events.

Check Out is 10am the next morning.
